NewAge Industries recently collected and shipped over 5,000 lbs. of donations for Ukraine to Teknika Strapping Systems. Teknika was founded in Ukraine in 1988 and later moved its headquarters to the United States. The company maintains a warehouse in south-central Pennsylvania, about 100 miles west of NewAge’s Southampton, PA, location. Teknika also has a warehouse in war-ravaged Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Teknika’s employees have coworkers, family members, and friends in Ukraine. The company has been collecting donations of food, medical supplies, and clothing to ship to their Poland facility. From there, the much-needed items will be trucked into Ukraine.
NewAge coordinated with two neighboring companies, ETC and M&C Specialties, to collect, sort, and pack donations of clothing, boots and shoes, coats, bedding, towels, camping gear, food, first aid kits and bandages, healthcare supplies (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap), diapers and baby items, children’s toys and activity kits, and pet food and supplies. The donated goods filled thirteen gaylord boxes (4 feet x 4 feet x 4 feet containers). In late March the shipment headed to the Teknika warehouse in Pennsylvania with much hope that the items will soon be in the hands of those who need them.
